Roadside or ‘in the middle of the road’ I’m not so sure.

I’d recommend the Nunwell Trail from the Visit Isle of Wight website. Its starts and ends quite easily but be warned either the author got a little distracted or perhaps its the lack of landmarks in the middle section but which ever of those it is means you may find yourself wandering around in a field with no idea which of the dozen or so paths you should follow.

Still, if we hadn’t got so lost we would’ve missed this rather nice sunset. Oh yes, remember to take a torch too – Just in case.

Sunburnt return*

after a fantastic show from Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls in London on thursday night (Birmingham diary date October 3rd) it was off to the Isle of Wight where they secretly still hold the british summer…

*Actually I don’t have sunburn; but the skin on my forehead is peeling slightly, leaving me with that science teachers dandruff effect all down my black shirt, however thats not really a snappy**, or particularly pleasant, title I didn’t think.

**Not that any of the previous titles have been that snappy…
